Unseen by Phil Huffy

A poet with a camera
may have brought too much along,
for what she sees no image has portrayed

and her perceptive vision
is not likely to be shared
if just her inspiration is relayed.

Her words when finely crafted
are resplendent in their tone,
as any careful reader will surmise

and demonstrate much more than
the summation of her words,
which is, of course, just where her talent lies.

Phil Huffy writes early and often at his kitchen table in upstate New York. He is frequently published, with pieces recently seen in or pending with Schuykill Valley Journal, Snakeskin, Hedge Apple, Halcyon Days and The Lyric.
