So excited for the beginning of Autumn, even though the high temp where I am (southern California) is forecasted to be 99 degrees today. What a way to welcome the new season. I switched the wreath on my front door...goodbye pink cherry blossoms, hello golden leaves, pumpkins, and tawny brown feathers. I look forward to cooler daytime temps, sipping coffee with pumpkin spice creamer, desserts with pumpkin everything, comforting stews, and watching the leaves change to colors of rust, gold, bronze, and red.
Thank you everyone for making Poppy Road such a success, even though it was on hiatus for almost a year. Thanks to all new travelers who have found their way here and also to the familiar travelers who return from time to time. Stop and rest for a while, there's so much wonderful poetry and kinship to discover.
