Moonless by Kim Malinowski

Galaxies yawn above me.
Moonless—I feel stars in my marrow,
beg them to fall into me,
embrace me,
quietly gather me up.
To think,
if the galaxy is constantly expanding,
there are stars—whole solar systems
younger than me.

Kim Malinowski is primarily a lover of words. Her debut collection “Home,” is forthcoming from Kelsay Books. Her chapbook Death: A Love Story was published by Flutter Press. Her work has appeared in Faerie MagazineMookychickBLUEPEPPERGone Lawn, and others. She writes because the alternative is unthinkable.
