Ophelia by Chelsea Cefalu

Raindrops in a storm, broken upon arrival,
spread too thin across the lawn.
Daisies stripped, rosemary burnt;
No number of men can put the garden together again.
Swathed in willow strands,
conceived by the river,
birthed from clouds.

Chelsea Cefalu lives in Easton, PA with her husband and children. She earned her M.Ed from Lehigh University and most recently has developed Poets in Progress, an after-school workshop that offers children the opportunity to read, write, and perform poetry.
