Premonition by Richard Schnap

In his dream he heard
The fluttering of wings
By a starlit sea

As a tall lighthouse
With its guiding beacon
Was suddenly snuffed out

The very next day
An x-ray revealed
His brain held a tumor

And as he walked home
A murder of crows
Seemed to follow behind
