4 Haiku by Deana Prock

Autumn Dreamscape

The last leaf falling-
I dreamt of rich green olives,
half-shelled baby birds

Looking Back

your wet sand footprints
fill with water and salt, the
sea follows you home

First Fire

fireflies dance between
my ribs, your moon mouth kisses
lighting me inside.

Horizon Tree

Ancient limbs snake wide
grasping a setting sun, black
branches- mustard sky

Deana Prock lives and writes in Brooklyn, NY, where she dreads the winters but loves the bagels. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in BloodLotus, Quantum Poetry Magazine, and Rufous City Review, among others.
