2 Short Poems by Craig Scott

COME AND GO

You come
into my life
like waterboarding.

Like a masochist
I can't get enough.

You fade
like prayers to
a god,

words spoken
to silence.

DREAM

On the train
concrete and trees
pass like
dead memories.

I'm going
somewhere
I've never been
before:

home.
