2 Haiku by Betty Houle

sparkling crystals
white blanket on dirt
Earth sleeps 

man lives, laughs, loves
procreates, works, succeeds
in time for death

Betty Houle is a 63-year-old working wife, mother, grandmother and breast cancer survivor. She's been writing for more than thirty years, and has had two of her poems published in Blood and Thunder: Musings on the Art of Medicine published by the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
