Bamboo Ghosts by Russell Streur

Bamboo along the Chattahoochee
Survived the first winter.
Now the stands are ten feet tall
And seeding everywhere.

Suddenly it’s a hundred years from now
And our ghosts are laughing here
Drinking plum wine
And speaking Mandarin.
