Delivery Room, New Year’s

Outside fireworks pop
and crackle – a plume
of hair emerges.




Corey Cook is the author of two chapbooks: Rhododendron in a Time of War (Scars Publications) and What to Do with a Dying Parakeet (Pudding House Publications). His work has recently appeared in blackdahlia, Concelebratory Shoehorn Review, The Henniker Review, Pig in a Poke, Thunderclap Magazine, and Willard and Maple. Corey edits The Orange Room Review with his wife, Rachael. They live in New Hampshire with their two daughters.
